House on fire
“House” (casa) you will know, and also “fire” (fuego).
“House on fire” is an expression (un dicho) that means, in the context of mortals, that the people get on (llevarse bien) very well.
In Spanish, perhaps the phrases are “llevarse de maravilla”, y “ concordar muy bien”. Sometimes I have seen “como una casa de llamas”.
Two examples:
- Mr. Sánchez and Mr. Starmer (the British prime minister) get on like a “house on fire” (se llevan de maravilla).
- Mr. Trump, the USA President, and Mr. Starmer do not get on like a house on fire.
Do you get on with Mr. Sanchez like a house on fire?
