Where is your abode?

An “abode” (morada, dómicilio) is where mortals live. You could say that “my abode” is in Spain, or my house, where I live, is in Spain. The meaning (significado) is the same.

There are also some expressions using “abode”. Contemplate these¨:

• Carmelo has the “right of abode” (…tiene el derecho domiliarse) in Santa Úrsula. Mr Sanchez, at the moment, has the right of abode in La Moncloa.

• Some mortals are of “no fixed abode” (sin domicilio fijo).
